Day 4 was packed with exciting games and experiments. It also included some most valuable learning of the program.
Discover Our Values: In this session, Adam guided us through the process of discovering our own values. He also gave a lot of insights and examples about values and how they worked for us.
Design Destiny: This session put everything we had learnt throughout the program together. In this session, you will be able to see the big picture of your life in the future, make your choice and commit yourself to it. By the way, trust me, success doesn’t happen by chance, but it happens by design. If you don’t design your own plan, someone else will. When you fall into the plan of someone else, are you sure that he/she plans the best for you?
Anchoring: Whenever we are in an intense associated state, and the same anchor is applied repeatedly, the state will be neurologically linked to the anchor. There are 3 kinds of anchors: visual anchors, auditory anchors and kinaesthetic anchors.
We can install an anchor by:

Getting into an intense, associated state
-
Applying the anchor at the peak
-
Repeating this consistently
-
Testing to see if it works
In order for an anchor to be effective, there are 4 keys to observe

Intensity
-
Timing
-
Replication
-
Uniqueness
We can collapse negative anchors that limit us and install empowering alternatives as well. There are 7 steps:

Decide on the negative state to be collapsed
-
Decide on the positive state needed
-
Elicit the different positive states and anchor them
-
Fire off both positive and negative anchor simultaneously until they peak, then release the negative anchor
-
Continue to hold the positive anchor for 5 seconds and then release

Test it out
You may find it difficult to understand. Me too. When I read about anchoring in Adam’s Master Your Mind Design Your Destiny book, I felt a bit confusing as well (especially about whether it really works or not). However, during the program, Adam made this session about anchoring the most entertaining and yet easy-to-learn one.
The Last Game: There was a “break-through” game at the end of the day which made me (and my wife who also attended the program) feel very motivated. Actually, my wife has become a fan of that game. Now, she wants to play it whenever she feels down because it helps her get back to the powerful state instantly.
Sharing & Certificate Presentation: I must say this session impressed me a lot. Seeing others share about how the program change their way of thinking, their mindset and even their life inspired me a lot. There were some people who came up for sharing cried and couldn’t say much, but we all understood what they meant. It was very moving and touching because it was true and deepest feelings. And that was the end of the 4-day program.
Actually, not quite yet. There was a booster session a few days after the main program. Though it wasn’t a part of the 4-day main program, it wasn’t less powerful. During that session, I first learnt about something called The Secret. It has really changed my life since then.
This post is the last post about Pattern of Excellence Module 1. I’ll attend Module 2 today and I expect a lot more from it. Will Adam & Stuart disappoint me or exceed my expectation again?…
