I fell in love with Garland theme when I built a temporary website for my Vietnamese translation book of I Am Gifted, So Are You!(by Adam Khoo). The Garland theme is a simple and elegant theme with cool features like color picker (yes, I change the colors of my blog with just a few clicks) and Wordpress widget ready. Though I’m not a newbie in Wordpress, I find that widgets makes my life easier when it comes to customized Wordpress blog. It’s really a time saver for me (and for you too, if you own/want to start a blog).

A simpler theme will definitely load faster, and make the content clearer to read. It’s my first step to focus more on the content of this blog rather than heavy design. It also means customization is easier.

The most important reason is this new theme will work better with the coming Wordpress 2.3 which I believe all Wordpress users should upgrade as soon as possible to enjoy tons of new features. For those who earn some extra income with Adsense, new SEO-friendly feature in Wordpress 2.3 is something you need to have.
